This annual metro-wide volunteer day spans the river’s 156-mile system. Volunteers work along the river banks and remove tons of litter and sort out recyclables, but they also support construction of river trails, remove invasive vegetation, and plant native plants. With over 60 locations to choose from, we are excited to see so much action along the river every spring for Chicago River Day! Stay tuned for next year’s Chicago River Day.
