Key Concerns/Challenges:
- Combined sewer overflows
- As more people utilize the rivers, safety on the water is a huge concern
- Water quality and nature conservation
Key Priorities/Opportunities:
- Mixed use along riverfronts with public access, green spaces, restaurants and industry
- More recreational opportunities of all kinds along the Main Stem, North Branch and North Branch Canal
- Better connections and access points from downtown/Loop to riverfront
Big Ideas:
- Connect the Riverwalk all along Main Stem
- Connect the 606 Trail to River trail
- More kayak public launches, with parking
