Catch a glimpse of local wildlife, including herons, turtles, mink and deer on the Chicago River Wilderness trip. We will meet at Linne Woods (entrance just east of Dempster St. and Ferris Ave in Morton Grove) at 9:30 a.m., take shuttle bus up to the dam at Willow Road in Winnetka, and paddle down the North Branch of the Chicago River back to our cars. We will stop for lunch (please bring your own!) during the trip, and will finish up around 3:30 p.m. Total distance paddled: 6 miles.

Fun and knowledgeable guides from the Friends of Chicago organization will provide safety and paddling instruction plus all of the necessary equipment. Ages 5 and up. Trips cost $50 per person.
